Wood's Landing

It was the start of the Pandemic and I had just started working from home. I loved it. I loved the isolation and the quiet. I loved getting to know my neighbors better. About three weeks later, I needed to LEAVE. The cabin fever was driving me up the wall.

I took my little FIAT 500 and drove down a highway towards the mountains with no plan. I drove until the snow drifts reached my windows. I didn't see a single soul. When I turned around, I was struck by the view. The road was much winder coming down. I took a second to just sketch it out and booked it back home to paint.

This spot won't ever look the same. There were three fires that converged right at that spot and demolished whatever was there that summer.
